We have very strong links with our church, St Helens Minster which used to be called St Helens Parish Church. The building is located in the centre of St Helens and school visits regularly for whole school worship and RE trips and other events. Clergy lead school worship and deliver RE lessons at Parish across the school year.

The Minster team led a worshipping community called Pray and Play at Parish School weekly on Thursdays 3.30pm-4.30pm at school for parents and children: a space for community, conversation and support over cake and crafts!

Representatives of the church have a strong guiding influence on our school’s mission and future direction and so relationship with both St Helens Minster and the Liverpool Diocese are important.

As a Voluntary Aided School the majority of our governors are appointed by the church authorities, and several of the governors are members of the Minster community.

Worship at St Helens Minster

Sunday 10.30am

Every Sunday we gather to worship at The Minster. Open to everyone, we have a children’s church and a creche area. People of all ages are welcome every week, if its your first time look for the Brew&You team in their blue t-shirts who are our team responsible for welcoming people and hospitality! There is always a brew and usually biscuits after the worship too.

St Helens Minster is open Monday-Friday 10am-2pm.  On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday our Minster Café is open serving low cost food and operating its pay it forward scheme for anyone who needs a helping hand with costs. In the school holiday we always offer free lunches for children of school age.

Every morning starts with Morning Prayer at 9.30am in the Chapel, everyone is very welcome. The Chapel remains a quiet space through the week for anyone wanting to pray, and on Wednesday at 12noon we celebrate Holy Communion there.
