Pupil Premium (including Recovery Premium)

Pupil Premium 2023-24

At Parish it is our intention thar our children are successful in life and learning, no matter what their starting points or barriers to learning may be. With that in mind, we are committed to ensuring provision is made for all pupils, and that teaching and learning opportunities meet the needs of all pupils and allow them to make progress and achieve well.

Pupil Premium funding was introduced in April 2011, and is paid by means of a specific grant based on school census figures for pupils, reception to year 6, registered as eligible for FSM at any point in the last 6 years and pupils in care or who left care through adoption or another formal route. The school also recognises the educational disadvantage faced by other pupils, including those who are vulnerable and are receiving statutory support from local authority social care.

The Government believes that the Pupil Premium is the best way to address the underlying inequalities between children eligible for FSM and those who aren't. The funding is additional to main school funding and is intended to reach the disadvantaged pupils who need it most.

The Parish Strategy for Pupil Premium is reviewed in three waves:-

  • Teaching

  • Targeted Academic Support

  • Wider Strategies

The documents below will be reviewed throughout the year.
