Parish Nursery Consultation.
Dear Parents/Carers,
Parish CE Primary is currently exploring the option to expand our nursery provision to include places for two-year-olds. This proposal is strongly supported by the Local Authority, reflecting the current shortage of early years childcare provision in the local area. Introducing places for younger children would give them access to high-quality early education at an earlier stage. Early access to a nursery provision supports children’s social, emotional and language development, helps build their confidence in a familiar environment, and promotes a smooth transition into our three-year-old nursery and Reception classes.
This expansion would also benefit both working and non-working families by providing consistent and reliable early education and care within the school community. For working parents, it offers dependable childcare that supports employment and helps balance family and work commitments. For non-working families, it provides valuable opportunities for children to develop key skills, establish routines, and engage with their peers in a structured, nurturing environment.
We are now beginning a six-week consultation period to gather feedback from parents and carers. Your views are very important to us, and we would be grateful if you could take a few moments to complete the short survey using the link provided below:
