Lightning Strikes Twice at Parish School

It’s said that lightning never strikes twice, but at Parish School it certainly seems to have done! For the second time this academic term, school has been rated as outstanding by OFSTED – this time for the school’s nursery’s provision. Inspectors judged the pre-school  nursery to be outstanding in every area and highlighted the exemplary links it shares with parents and the wider community.

The nursey staff were praised for being ‘extremely dedicated and committed to providing the highest standards of care and education’. Mrs Michelle Highcock, nursery manager, said: ’We are utterly delighted with this judgement. We have only been open for a short time so to achieve this grading is a real honour.’

Another area identified in the report was the excellent support afforded to developing the children’s communication, language and literacy skills.

Headteacher,  Mrs Lynne Ryder, said: ‘the links with our nursery and main school are very strong. We are really proud to have such dedicated and professional staff working for us’.
