How big is a Diplodocus?

In reception, children investigated their question.  They began by researching the size of a Diplodocus using books and the internet. The children found that a Diplodocus is 27 metres long and 10 metres tall.  The children used a variety of measuring tools to draw the size on the playground.

Following measuring the size of the Diplodocus, the children them decided to draw the Diplodocus using their measurements. Children were also able to make comparisons and even estimated that it would be the same size as the school!
