Forest School Campfire Fun!

Forest School was really fun this week because it was “Campfire Time”!  The children had been looking forward to toasting mashmallows and the weather today was perfect.

The children sensibly sat around the firepit logs – making sure no to enter of cross the fire circle.  They were able to discuss what we needed to do to keep safe.

It was fun to watch the marshmallows sizzle and turn a golden colour.

“The marshmallows go hard and bubbly when they get warm,” observed Luie. “And they taste much yummier!” added Daniel.

Once the grown ups had toasted their marshmallow they counted to twenty to let the marshmallow cool and then enjoyed the tasty treat.

It was such a lovely afternoon, the children had a fabulous time singing songs around the campfire.
