Our governing body's main aim is to help raise standards of achievement and make sure that the school provides a good quality education. The day-to-day management of the school is the responsibility of the head teacher and staff. Rather than manage, governors are there to help shape the school's future direction and focus.
In 2014, Our Governing Body was one of the first in St.Helens to achieve the GLM Quality Mark, which aims to celebrate good governance in schools and academies.
This is a rigorous assessment process in which governing bodies are required to show evidence of school improvement, impact on pupil outcomes, records of the governing body supporting and challenging the school and evidence of shared strategic leadership.
